I have just started the third in a series of potentially four drag queen paintings. I am digging this one, although I have to make it more obvious that she is not in fact holding an apple in her hand. I am going to assume it was probably more like a green apple martini. Once I finish I plan to show the ladies of Jacques’ Cabaret, which is where I took the original photos close to six years ago. I think it would be awesome if I could get them to come to my show in May, but that may prove to be difficult. Female impersonators are busy people!

My submission to the upcoming Lincoln Arts Project group show “EVERYTHING THAT CREEPS.” The call-for-art portion of the show will feature B-Movie/Horror movie posters. Some of you might recall “Anatidaephobia” from Gary Larson’s The Far Side. This invented phobia is the fear that “somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you.”
