More fish!

Step two

I have just started the third in a series of potentially four drag queen paintings. I am digging this one, although I have to make it more obvious that she is not in fact holding an apple in her hand. I am going to assume it was probably more like a green apple martini. Once I finish I plan to show the ladies of Jacques’ Cabaret, which is where I took the original photos close to six years ago. I think it would be awesome if I could get them to come to my show in May, but that may prove to be difficult. Female impersonators are busy people! 

Fin! I will upload a better picture of it eventually that isn’t quite so slanted.

I am going to have a solo show this May at the StoveFactory Gallery in Charlestown. It is going to be a lot of work, work that I have only barely begun. What is one thing you can count on to be at this show? More drag queens! Here is one I just started.

It’s true, I’m not very good at updating this blog. What makes it so tricky is having seventeen other blogs to update. Here is a book cover re-design I did for class. It’s one of my favorite books, so I thoroughly enjoyed the project.

My submission to the upcoming Lincoln Arts Project group show “EVERYTHING THAT CREEPS.” The call-for-art portion of the show will feature B-Movie/Horror movie posters. Some of you might recall “Anatidaephobia” from Gary Larson’s The Far Side. This invented phobia is the fear that “somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you.”
